The second century of Kohli's World Cup career, and it could not have been scripted any better than against Pakistan at Adelaide Oval, a side Kohli liked to bat against and a ground he loved to score runs at. With help from Dhawan and Raina, Kohli's hundred helped lead India to 300. When Umar Akmal removed Kohli from the game at 76, he was on three when Yasir Shah dropped him at deep midwicket. After a subpar tri-series against Australia and England in which he failed to score more than 20 runs at any point, he started India's World Cup campaign brilliantly, extending their winning run over Pakistan to 6-0.
